Description: The yarrow plant has magical properties of divination.
Yarrow is a plant that grows on waste ground almost everywhere in the northern hemisphere. It is one of the oldest medicinal herbs known to man, and even to not-quite-men like the Neanderthals, who used its flowers in burial rites.
Naturally after all this time there are a few superstitions kicking around about yarrow: such as an English tale that you will have dreams of the future if you put some in a pillow. In China, Yarrow is considered lucky, and is said to grow around the grave of Confucius. Stalks of Yarrow are shuffled to cast readings of the I-Ching - a practice of divination similar to the European Tarot.
